You will be automatically entered for a chance to win if you qualify for and receive a government stimulus payment (aka Economic Impact Payment) of $200 or more to your Chime Spending Account between now and May 4, 2020.
If you have already received a stimulus payment via direct deposit to your Chime Spending Account, you are already entered into the Stimulus Sweepstakes. Score!
How to set up direct deposit with the IRS
To enter, you’ll need to receive your government stimulus payment (aka Economic Impact Payment) of $200 or more to your Chime Spending Account by May 4, 2020. Here’s how to set it up:
- Find your Chime Spending Account number and bank routing number in the Chime app.
- For non-Filers who are eligible for a stimulus payment, tap Non-Filers: Enter payment here.
For Filers who want to set up direct deposit, go to the Get My Payment portal on the IRS site.
Note: the IRS has announced this portal will be live no later than Friday, April 17. We’ll send you an update to let you know when that happens. See the Note below.
- Follow the directions on the IRS website and include your Chime direct deposit information when you submit.
- Receive a government stimulus payment of $200 or more to your Chime Spending Account.
Note: In order to submit a direct deposit request to the IRS, you’ll need some information from the most recent tax return you submitted: your Adjusted Gross Income and the refund amount or amount owed. Find this information now so that you’re ready to submit when the portal opens!
How does it work?
Entries will be accepted until 11:59pm PST on May 4, 2020. An alternate method of entry is available for individuals who are not Chime members. 2 Subject to Official Rules. No purchase necessary. To claim the prize, the winner must have an open Chime Spending Account.
Alternate Method of Entry
Non-Chime members may enter the Stimulus Sweepstakes by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line, “#StimulusSweepstakesEntry” (“Email Entry”), and include the following information in the body of the email: (1) first and last names; (2) date of birth; (3) home address, city, state, and ZIP Code; and (5) phone number. An Email Entry received by Sponsor during the Sweepstakes Period set forth in the description of the Sweepstakes will receive one (1) Entry into Sweepstakes. If an Email Entry is received by Sponsor after the Sweepstakes Period has ended, it will not be entered in the Sweepstakes. If an Email Entry is not selected as a potential, it will not be re-entered for a chance to win in the following week(s) drawing. Each non-Chime Member is limited to one (1) Email Entry. To claim the prize, the winner must have an open Chime Spending Account (“Chime Member”).
¹ Credits of $600 or more must be reported on tax form 1099-MISC. The prize consists of a one time deposit of $1,200 into winner’s Chime Spending Account if they are a Chime Member with an open Chime Spending Account. If you have a Chime Spending Account and you wish to opt-out of participating in this Sweepstakes, you will be given the opportunity to opt-out through an introductory email sent to all current Chime Members prior to the beginning of the Sweepstakes or you can email email@example.com requesting to opt-out of this Sweepstakes. You must include Stimulus Sweepstakes in the subject line of the email.
