To be eligible for MyPay, you must receive qualifying direct deposits to your Chime Checking Account in the preceding 36 days as set forth in the MyPay Agreement. A qualifying direct deposit is a deposit from an employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, government benefits payer, or other permitted source of income by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) or Original Credit Transaction (“OCT”). Your MyPay Credit Limit and Maximum Available Advance may change at any time. MyPay is a line of credit and available limits are based on estimated income and risk-based criteria. SpotMe® on Credit is an optional, no interest/no fee overdraft line of credit tied to the Secured Deposit Account. SpotMe on Debit is an optional, no fee service attached to your Chime Checking Account (individually or collectively, "SpotMe"). Eligibility for SpotMe requires $200 or more in qualifying direct deposits to your Chime Checking Account each month.

Qualifying members will be allowed to overdraw their Chime Checking Account and/or their Secured Deposit Account up to $20 in total, but may be later eligible for a higher combined limit of up to $200 or more based on member’s Chime account history, direct deposit frequency and amount, spending activity and other risk-based factors. Your SpotMe Limit will be displayed to you within the Chime mobile app. You will receive notice of any changes to your SpotMe Limit. SpotMe for Credit and SpotMe on Debit share a single SpotMe limit. Your SpotMe Limit may change at any time, at Chime or its banking partners’ discretion. Although there are no overdraft fees, there may be out-of-network or third-party fees associated with ATM transactions or OTC cash withdrawal fees at retailers. How do I determine my MyPay line of credit limit and available amount?

During each pay period, you are able to see your credit limit and the amount that is available to you to access that day. Money available to you can be accessed right from the Chime mobile app, and is transferred directly into your Chime Checking Account. The minimum amount that can be advanced at a time is $20, and the maximum is your available amount, up to your credit limit. Most members' credit limits start between $50 to $100, and can increase over time up to $500 depending on factors such as length and amount of your direct deposit activity.

Is MyPay available only in certain states?

Right now, MyPay is available to eligible Chime members who live in the states listed in the Bancorp MyPay Agreement and Stride MyPay Agreement, provided all other eligibility requirements are met. We are working to expand our state eligibility.

How much does MyPay cost?

It is free to access MyPay and there is no optional tipping. There are no fees for scheduled advances, which arrive in your Chime Checking Account within 24 hours after requesting an advance. You can also choose to get money instantly for $2 to $5 per advance.

What’s the catch?

We believe in transparency. When you use MyPay, there is never any interest, no credit check, and instantly for $2 or $5 per advance2.

Will using MyPay impact my credit score?

Chime does not perform a credit check when you use MyPay, and we do not report your payment history to the credit bureaus. Certain members of the Armed Forces and their dependents can receive benefits under the Military Lending Act. When you enroll in MyPay, we will verify whether you are eligible for those benefits. This is not a credit check and it does not affect your credit score.

How do I get access to MyPay?

Start by setting up a $200+ qualifying direct deposit. You must have an activated physical Chime card, receive qualifying direct deposits, and live in a state where MyPay is offered. If you become eligible, you’ll be invited to unlock MyPay. Right now, MyPay is available to anyone who lives in the states listed in our eligibility requirements, provided all other eligibility requirements are met. We are working to expand our state eligibility.

How is MyPay different from Get Paid Early and SpotMe®?

At Chime, we believe you should get your pay as soon as possible. With Get Paid Early14, you can also get your paycheck up to 2 days earlier than you normally would when you set up a direct deposit to your Chime Checking Account.

SpotMe5 is fee-free overdraft you don’t have to think about. If your account hits $0, SpotMe is there to cover you up to $200 on debit card purchases, credit card transactions, and cash withdrawals, as applicable, automatically, based upon your available limit. If you are enrolled in SpotMe, please check your Chime mobile app for details on your SpotMe limit.

MyPay puts you in control of payday by allowing you take an advance, up to $5001 any day before payday, depending on your credit limit, per pay period.

How does Chime make money?

Chime makes money from the interchange fee charged on card transactions. Every time you use your Chime Visa® Debit Card or secured Chime Visa® Credit Card for purchases and paying bills, Visa processes the transaction and charges an interchange fee to merchants for the service. Chime receives a portion of this fee. This is how Chime can continue building new and better products that help members get the most from their money.

Does Chime charge any fees?

We have no fees to sign up, no overdraft fees, no monthly service fees, no minimum balance fees, and no card replacement fees either.
