Chime Named to the 2026 TIME100 Most Influential Companies List

Chime® has been named to the 2026 TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, which recognizes 100 organizations making an extraordinary impact around the world.

TIME recognized Chime for helping everyday Americans avoid fees, build and repair credit, and access their pay when they need it most. The full list and Chime’s writeup are available at time.com/100companies.

TIME considers nominations from across sectors for the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, and consults its global network of correspondents, contributors, and outside experts. Editors then evaluate companies on a variety of factors — including impact, innovation, ambition, success, and overall relevance — to identify businesses setting new standards for influence and leadership.

“There’s a generational shift underway in how Americans choose to bank, and Chime is leading the way,” says Chris Britt, Co-founder and CEO of Chime. “We set out to challenge the big banks by building what they wouldn’t: banking services that are helpful, easy, free, and designed to help everyday Americans make real financial progress. Our members tell us Chime gave them something their old bank never did – a trusted financial partner. We’ve helped members avoid billions in fees, build their credit, and access their pay when they need it most. Today, more Americans are choosing Chime as their primary account than any other financial institution. Ranking first in new account openings shows our mission is resonating with mainstream America, and I’m proud that we’re raising the bar for the entire industry.”
