This new member offer (the “Offer”) to open a Chime Checking Account (an “Account”) as a first-time Chime account holder and use your Chime Visa® Debit Card (“Debit Card”), or secured Chime Visa® Credit Card (“Chime Card”) (each a “Chime Visa® Card”) is provided by Chime Financial, Inc. (“Chime"). Your participation in this Offer is subject to these offer terms ("Offer Terms"). To participate in this Offer, you must open an Account through this webpage (https://www.chime.com/join/promos/intro-offer-v2b/) ("Offer Webpage"). Advertisements for this Offer will lead you to the Offer Webpage where you may enroll in an Account for this Offer. If the Offer Webpage is no longer accessible, the Offer is no longer valid.

Offer Summary

You can earn up to $350.00 in total maximum rewards under this Offer when you open a Chime Checking Account as a first-time Chime account holder from the applicable promotional account opening webpage and complete all of the promotional activities under this Offer. This Offer has two components: 1) a $50.00 one-time reward for receiving a single Qualifying Direct Deposit (defined below) of $500.00 or more into your new Account within 34 calendar days of Account opening (the “Direct Deposit Reward”); and 2) a 10% cash back offer on Eligible Purchases (defined below) made with your Chime Visa® Card up to a maximum of $100.00 cash back per month for a period of 90 calendar days after Account opening for a maximum total of $300 in cash back rewards (the “Cash Back Reward”).

Eligibility and Earning Rewards

You must meet the following eligibility requirements in order to receive the respective component rewards under this Offer:

  • Invitation to participate: Receive an invitation from Chime to participate in the Offer via your Chime app, SMS text message, push notification, email, or advertisement to be eligible for the Offer. You may not participate if you did not receive the invitation directly from Chime.
  • Open a new Chime Checking Account: Open a new Account as a first-time Chime account holder.
  • Direct Deposit Reward: Receive a single Qualifying Direct Deposit of $500.00 or more into your Account within 34 calendar days of Account opening to be eligible to receive the Direct Deposit Reward.
  • Physical card activation: Activate one of your physical Chime Visa® Cards within 14 calendar days of receiving your initial Qualifying Direct Deposit of $500.00 or more.
  • Cash Back Reward: Once you have activated one of your physical Chime Visa® Cards, make Eligible Purchases to earn 10% cash back up to a maximum of $100 cash back per month for a period of 90 calendar days after Account opening. Please note that you may earn Cash Back Rewards starting immediately for the first 34 calendar days after Account opening (up to $100 per month) without a single Qualifying Direct Deposit of $500 or more, however, if you wish to continue earning Cash Back Rewards under this Offer for the entire 90 calendar day period, you must receive a Qualifying Direct Deposit of $500 or more into your Account within the previous 34 calendar days of any Eligible Purchases you make.

A Qualifying Direct Deposit is a deposit by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) that comes from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer or a deposit by Original Credit Transaction (“OCT”) from your gig economy payer. Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions, and any deposit to which Chime deems to not be a Qualifying Direct Deposit, are not Qualifying Direct Deposits.

Eligible Purchases mean the dollar amount of purchases made with your Chime Visa® Card for goods and services at a merchant everywhere Visa® debit and credit cards are accepted, minus returns and other credits. Not all transactions qualify as Eligible Purchases, so please review the Eligible Purchase exclusions list carefully. Eligible Purchases exclude cash advances, ATM withdrawals, over-the-counter (“OTC”) withdrawals, gift cards, disputed transactions, unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, tax payments, transfers to third party payment accounts, money transfers of any kind, wire transfers, ATM charges, travelers checks, money orders, foreign currency payments, casino gaming or gambling, cryptocurrency purchases or funding, rent payments, bill payments, payments to securities broker dealers, or any other transactions that Chime may determine in its sole discretion are not eligible to earn cash back.

Each reward will be awarded separately. If you participate and complete the eligibility requirements for both component parts, you are able to receive up to the maximum total reward of $350.00 under this Offer. To receive both rewards, you must complete the qualifying activities, as described in these Offer Terms. For avoidance of doubt, you are not eligible for this Offer if you did not receive an advertisement in your Chime app or in any other invitation method described above.

You may earn the rewards described in these Offer Terms as long as your Account is open and in good standing. You will not be able to earn the cash rewards under this Offer if your Account is closed or suspended for any reason.

This Offer is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.

When You Will Receive Rewards

Rewards will be transferred to your Account accordingly: the Direct Deposit Reward will be transferred to your Account within 7 calendar days after you receive a Qualifying Direct Deposit of $500 or more into your Account. The Cash Back Reward will be transferred to your Account within 10 business days of settlement for all Eligible Purchases made within 90 calendar days of Account opening.

Credits of $10 or more will be reported on tax form 1099-INT.

Expiration and Forfeiture

Earned rewards do not expire. Any earned rewards for this Offer that have not been transferred to your Account will be forfeited if your Account is closed for any reason.

Other Conditions

Chime reserves the right to take action if it sees evidence of fraud, abuse, misuse, or suspicious activity, as determined by Chime in its sole discretion. Such action may include but not be limited to:

  • Disqualifying you from this Offer
  • Suspending or closing your Account

You acknowledge that this Offer is a promotional offer as to which no consideration has been paid to you and that rewards earned, but not yet paid, have no cash value. Unless and until the rewards are transferred to your Account, no tangible or intangible right, title, or interest in the rewards has been earned. Nothing herein requires Chime to transfer any rewards to your Account if this Offer has been canceled, terminated or suspended.

You may only participate in one Chime account opening bonus promotion when you open your Account. This Offer cannot be combined with any other Chime account opening bonuses.

Offer Modifications

Chime reserves the right to change these Offer Terms at any time in its sole discretion without prior notice to you. Changes to these Offer Terms may include, among other things, amending eligibility requirements, imposing additional restrictions, modifying the Offer expiration date, or terminating the Offer. No new Account enrollments are eligible for this Offer after the expiration of the Offer.
