Chime® is thrilled to announce that Eitan Bencuya has joined the company as Vice President of Communications. With a proven track record of building and managing high-performing Communications efforts at industry giants like Square, DoorDash, and Google, Eitan is poised to lead Chime’s communications team and help drive Chime through its next chapter of growth. His experience in launching innovative products and track record of fostering strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external media will be invaluable assets to the Chime team.
In his role, Eitan will oversee Chime’s corporate, consumer, and policy communications, as well as the internal and employer brands. He and his team will continue to build and protect Chime’s brand and reputation, supporting the company as it enters a new stage of maturity. He will report to Jennifer Kuperman, Chime’s Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.

Before joining Chime, Eitan was Head of Communications at Square, where he shepherded the business’s communications through its growth upmarket and built a data storytelling team that used Square’s unique datasets to position the company as an economic bellwether and industry leader. Prior to his time at Square, Eitan founded the Communications team at DoorDash and worked on the PR team at Google for nearly five years, where he was the communications lead for Chrome after its launch in 2008. Eitan has also held communications roles at consultancy The Pramana Collective and the non-profit Sierra Club. He holds a double major in English and Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley.
