Chime+ Trial Terms & Conditions (for Members Without Qualifying Direct Deposit)

ELIGIBILITY
To participate in the Chime+ Trial for Non-direct depositors, please make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of the Chime mobile app during the Offer period. Chime+ Trial for Non-direct depositors (also referred to as “Chime+ Trial for Non-DD’rs”) is a limited time offering available to new Chime members (“Member” or “you”) who satisfy the following conditions: (1) Member receives an offer for Chime+ Trial for non-DD’rs (the “Offer”); and (2) Member has not received a Qualifying Direct Deposit to their Chime Checking Account. Members will be eligible for Chime+ status, subject to the limits described below, for 30 calendar days after initial access to Chime+ is provided. No Qualifying Direct Deposit is required for access to Chime+ under this offering. Chime reserves the right to modify the duration of the offering.
For purposes of this Offer, Chime+ status includes 1.5% cash back on eligible secured Chime Visa® Credit Card (“Chime Card”) purchases as described in the Secured Chime Visa® Credit Card – Cash Rewards Program Addendum, SpotMe, exclusive Chime Deals selection as described in the Chime Deals Terms and Conditions, higher Annual Percentage Yield (“APY”) on Savings Account balance, and Priority Support (collectively “Chime+ Trial for non-DD’rs”) as described in the Chime+ Terms and Conditions except as otherwise described below (e.g., SpotMe $10.00 base limit maximum).
QUALIFYING FOR CHIME+ WITH QUALIFYING DIRECT DEPOSITS
A Member may qualify for Chime+ status as set forth in the Chime+ Terms and Conditions with a Qualifying Direct Deposit at any time as stated in the Chime+ Terms and Conditions. A “Qualifying Direct Deposit” is a deposit of $200.00 or more by Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) that comes from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer, OR a deposit by Original Credit Transaction (“OCT”) from your gig economy payer. Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions are not Qualifying Direct Deposits.
LIMITATIONS
This Offer is provided by Chime Financial, Inc. (“Chime”) at its discretion. Chime reserves the right to withdraw the Offer at any time. Chime reserves the right to cancel or modify the terms of any promotion or terminate a Member’s eligibility at any time with or without prior notice.
- 1.5% Cash Back on Chime Card: Earn 1.5% cash back on eligible secured Chime Visa® Credit Card purchases. Please refer to the Secured Chime Visa® Credit Card – Cash Rewards Program Addendum for details and more information on rotating cash back categories.
- SpotMe: SpotMe maximum base limit for Chime+ Trial for non-DD’rs is $10.00 (not $200.00 as advertised in general non-Offer Chime marketing). Members are eligible to receive up to $20.00 in SpotMe boosts and $50.00 in SpotMe bonuses during the duration of Chime+ Trial for non-DD’rs, which could bring their maximum total SpotMe limit up to $80.00 in a given month period. SpotMe® on Credit is an optional, no interest/no fee overdraft line of credit tied to the Secured Deposit Account. SpotMe on Debit is an optional, no fee overdraft service attached to your Chime Checking Account (individually or collectively, “SpotMe”). For Chime+ Trial for non-DD’rs, participating Members will be allowed to overdraw their Chime Checking Account and/or their Secured Deposit Account up to $10, plus any SpotMe boosts and bonuses, as applicable. Your SpotMe limit will be displayed to you within the Chime mobile app. You will receive notice of any changes to your SpotMe limit. SpotMe for Credit and SpotMe on Debit share a single SpotMe limit. Your SpotMe limit may change at any time, at Chime or its banking partners’ discretion. Although there are no overdraft fees, there may be out-of-network or third-party fees associated with ATM transactions or OTC cash withdrawal fees at retailers. SpotMe won’t cover non-card transactions, including ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, or Chime Checkbook transactions.
- MyPay: Members will not gain access to MyPay through this Offer. Please see the MyPay Line of Credit Agreement for details on eligibility for and access to MyPay (here for The Bancorp Bank, N.A. members or here for Stride Bank, N.A. members).
In the event that the Member receives a Qualifying Direct Deposit during the Offer Period, this Offer is revoked and Chime+ status will be provided, and limits and access will apply, as described in the Chime+ Terms and Conditions. The Member’s Chime Checking Account must be open and in good standing in order to receive the Offer.
Chime is a financial technology company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services for the Chime Checking Account are provided by The Bancorp Bank, N.A. or Stride Bank, N.A., Members FDIC. Deposit insurance covers the failure of an insured bank.
The secured Chime Visa® Credit Card is issued by The Bancorp Bank, N.A., or Stride Bank, N.A., pursuant to a license from Visa, U.S.A., Inc. and can be used wherever Visa credit cards are accepted.
