Accessing Funds Without Card

How do I access my funds while waiting for my first card?

Your brand new Chime card should be delivered to you within two weeks! If your Chime card does not arrive within this time frame, please reach out to our Member Services team via the support tab in your Chime app.

While your new card is on the way, here’s how you can access your funds:

  1. Link your Chime Checking Account to Venmo using your Chime Account number and routing number. You can quickly send money to friends, merchants, or another linked account that you own through Venmo.
  2. You can make an ACH(bank) transfer into your external bank account using your Chime Checking Account and routing numbers. Simply log into your external bank account, enter in your Chime Checking Account and routing numbers and pull the money from Chime into your external bank. Bank transfers take 3-5 business days to process.

Direct debits can also be set-up using your Chime Checking Account and routing numbers to pay bills such as rent, bills, or subscriptions online.

How do I access my funds while waiting for my first card, after my direct deposit has already been made?

Your brand new Chime card should be delivered to you within two weeks! If your Chime card does not arrive within this time frame, please reach out to our Member Services team via the support tab in your Chime app.

If you have not yet received your first card but you have already received a direct deposit of $200 or more, you can access your funds in a few different ways:

  1. You can perform a single Pay Friends transfer to your funds another Chime member using the Pay Friends feature in the Move Money section of your Chime App.
  2. Make a single outbound ACH transfer to a linked bank account in the Move Money section of the Chime app. These transfers arrive in 3-5 business days.
  3. Send a single paper check using the Mail A Check/Chime Checkbook option in the Move Money section of your Chime app. Checks arrive in 3-9 business days.
  4. Link your Chime Checking Account to Venmo using your Chime Checking Account number and our updated routing number, 031101279. You can quickly send money to friends and merchants using these apps. This updated routing number will not impact any direct deposits or debits you have previously arranged.
  5. Direct debits can be set up to pay bills such a rent or subscriptions by providing your billers with your Chime Checking Account and routing numbers.
