Cash withdrawals at non-Wells Fargo ATMs in the U.S. come with a $2.50 fee per withdrawal. Cash withdrawals at non-Wells Fargo ATMs outside the U.S. cost $5 per withdrawal.
International debit card purchases come with a transaction fee of 3% of the transaction amount. Wire transfer fees range from $15 to $45.¹

  • Primary account owner is 17-24 years old.
  • Linking to a Wells Fargo Campus ATM Card or Campus Debit Card.

Cash withdrawals at non-Wells Fargo ATMs in the U.S. cost $2.50 per withdrawal. Cash withdrawals at non-Wells Fargo ATMs outside the U.S. cost $5 per withdrawal.
Cashier’s checks cost $10 each, and money orders cost $5 each. Prices for personal checks vary, depending on the design.

In terms of fees, you pay nothing for:

  • Wells Fargo Personal Wallet checks
  • Wells Fargo and non-Wells Fargo ATM transactions
  • Incoming and outgoing wire transfers
  • Cashier’s checks
  • Money orders
  • Stop payments

Savings account fees Way2Save Savings5

Wells Fargo also has two savings account options:

  • Way2Save Savings
  • Platinum Savings

The minimum opening deposit for a Way2Save Savings Account is $25, and it has a monthly service fee of $5. You can avoid the monthly service fee by meeting one of these requirements.

  • Maintain a $300 minimum daily balance.
  • Schedule one automatic transfer each fee period of $25 or more from a linked Wells Fargo checking account.
  • Schedule one automatic transfer each business day within the fee period of $1 or more from a linked Wells Fargo checking account.

Platinum Savings is flexible when it comes to withdrawing money. You get unlimited branch and Wells Fargo ATM withdrawals and the option to write checks.6

Overdraft fees

If your account balance drops below zero, Wells Fargo charges you a fee.

You’ll have to pay a $35 fee per transaction to cover the transaction if you don’t have enough money in your account. There are a few exceptions and special rules that apply to Wells Fargo overdraft fees:

  • You don’t have to pay an additional charge if the amount credited by Wells Fargo is $5 or less.
  • You can only be charged a maximum of three fees a day or $105.
  • You are not charged overdraft fees on items returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSF).
  • Overdraft fees do not apply to Clear Access Banking accounts.

Teen Checking accounts have a $15 overdraft fee.5

Stop payment fees

If you sign a check – or several checks – and later realize you do not have enough money in your account, you can put a stop payment on it. A stop payment will prevent the overdraft fee.

But stop payments come with their own fees at Wells Fargo, at $31 per payment.

Premier Checking accounts have unlimited no-fee stop payments.5

Wire transfer fees

Wire transfer charges vary by account type and balance. You also have to pay a wire transfer fee if you’re transferring money from your Wells Fargo account to another bank account, even if they’re both in your name.

Here’s what a wire transfer costs at Wells Fargo:

Domestic wire transfer fee:

  • Incoming wire transfer: $15.
  • Outgoing wire transfer: $30.

Domestic wire transfer fee:

  • Incoming wire transfer: $16.
  • Outgoing wire transfer: $45.

You’ll also pay a $25 fee for repetitive outgoing domestic wire transfers. Repetitive outgoing international wire transfers cost $40 each.

If you have a Premier Checking account, outgoing wire transfer fees are waived. Third parties or other banks may charge their own fees as well.5
