Chime Welcomes Steven Aguilar as VP of Total Rewards

The seasoned Total Rewards leader brings extensive experience from the fintech, tech, and entertainment industries to support Chime's next growth phase.

Chime® is excited to announce that Steven Aguilar has joined the company as Vice President of Total Rewards. With a rich background in developing comprehensive total rewards strategies across various industries, Steven is poised to lead Chime’s efforts in attracting, retaining, and motivating top talent. His expertise in compensation, benefits, and HR operations will be instrumental in supporting Chime’s mission and continued growth.
 

In his role, Steven will oversee Chime’s compensation programs, benefits, perks, and PTO policies. He will focus on evolving Chime’s total rewards programs to align with the company’s growth trajectory and ensure they meet the needs of Chimers at all levels. Steven will report to Sarah Wagener, Chime’s Chief People Officer.

Before joining Chime, Steven designed and implemented innovative total rewards strategies across various industries and most recently was the Managing Principal of and founded Stag Consulting. Prior to launching Stag Consulting, Steven led Total Rewards and People Operations at healthcare billing provider Cedar. Before that, he led a simultaneous acquisition and IPO at financial services platform Blend. He has also held Total Rewards leadership roles at Zendesk, Pandora, The Walt Disney Company, and Texas Instruments.
 

Steven holds a master’s degree in industrial-organizational psychology with an emphasis on statistics. His data-driven approach, combined with a deep understanding of human psychology and sociology, allows him to create total rewards programs that are competitive and resonate with employees on a personal level.
