Make easy, free cash deposits

The next time you make a Walgreens ® run, you can make free cash deposits to your Chime Checking Account. That’s right, we’ve teamed up with Walgreens to bring you access to more walk-in locations than you’d have using any bank in the US. Alternatively, if you find yourself at one of 75,000 other retail locations including CVS ®, Walmart ®, and 7-Eleven®, you can also deposit² cash there.

Here’s how to deposit cash at a retail store

  1. Bring your cash to the register
  2. Hand your cash and Chime Visa® Debit Card to the cashier
  3. Start swiping, saving, and smiling!

Yep, it’s that easy. You could do this all day. Well, to be clear, you can add up to 3 per day, $1,000.00 per load; $1,000.00 per day; $10,000.00 per calendar month (subject to any retailer imposed limits).

How much does it cost to deposit cash into my Chime Checking Account?

If you deposit cash at a Walgreens® location, there is no fee. However, if you deposit cash at another retailer, you might be charged a fee per transaction. Please check with the specific retailer.

Are cash deposits the only way to move money into my Chime account?

Actually, there are a variety of ways to move money into your Chime Checking Account. You can set up a direct deposit from your employer or transfer money from an external bank account.

Can I deposit cash into my Chime Checking Account at an ATM?

Chime does not accept deposits of any kind from an ATM. You can deposit cash to your Chime Checking Account at over 75,000 other retail locations (like Walmart®, CVS®, and 7-Eleven®). You can make free cash deposits at any Walgreens® location. Ask the cashier to make a deposit to your Chime Checking Account at the register.

Is Chime cash deposit instant?

Depositing cash into your Chime Checking Account is quick and easy. Money appears in your account after you leave the register. Cash deposits are also free at 8,500+ Walgreens® locations.

Where can I deposit money on my Chime card for free?
