Security at Your Fingertips: Introducing the New Chime Security Center

At Chime®, helping you protect your hard-earned money is our highest priority. Today, we’re rolling out the redesigned Chime Security Center—a single hub where every member can see their account safety level and take action in seconds.

With the new Security Center, members get real-time insight, security tips, and intuitive tools to manage their money with confidence and peace of mind.

Why We Redesigned It

Chime research shows that trust plays a major role when people choose a financial provider. As a digital-first company, we’re proud of the systems that keep members’ money safe—but we also want every member to see and understand those protections.

The redesigned Security Center brings all your safeguards together in one place—making them easier to find, easier to use, and easier to understand.

What’s New

  • Centralized security hub: A one-stop dashboard for managing account safety and protecting your money.
  • Device Management: Instantly view and manage all devices logged in to your Chime account.
  • Passkey Login: Password-free sign-in using Face ID or Touch ID.
  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of protection with one-time codes.
  • Email Verification: Confirm your email to secure account ownership.
  • Password Check & Security Meter: Test password strength, spot breaches, and track your overall safety score.
  • Fraud Prevention Education: Bite-sized, in-app lessons to help recognize and avoid scams.
