SpotMe Stimulus Limit Increase
Who received the SpotMe limit increase?
This week, we increased some Chime members SpotMe to $1,200 to help cover daily card purchases while they await their
government payment.
These Chime members have been notified via email and were randomly selected from a group who met certain criteria such as those who had already set up direct deposit, enrolled in SpotMe, and deposited a tax refund into Chime.
How were members selected for this increase?
We selected a random group of 1,000 Chime members to offer immediate access to their $1,200 stimulus payment in the form of a SpotMe increase.
The members selected needed to meet certain criteria such as receiving direct deposit with Chime, already being enrolled in SpotMe, and have received a tax refund to their Chime Account.
We know this is a small group, but we hope this action inspires others in our industry to help, and that we can offer this option to more of our community soon.
What else is Chime doing to assist?
We’ve also reached out to the government to offer our support in delivering faster payments, and if we’re able to get more information on which members will be receiving the stimulus, we can take bigger steps forward.
