What is the Chime mobile banking app?

The Chime app offers everything you’d want out of a traditional banking experience but in one, easy-to-use mobile app that you can access wherever you are. Use the Chime app to check your account balances, deposit a check, send money to friends, and transfer funds between your Chime Checking and Chime Savings Accounts. You can even transfer money to and from an external bank account, integrate your Chime Visa® debit card with your mobile wallet, and find nearby ATMs for easy cash withdrawals.

Does Chime offer mobile check deposit?

Chime’s mobile check deposit3 is one of the standout features of the Chime app. Just snap a photo of your paper check within the mobile banking app – from wherever you are. Chime members are eligible for mobile check deposit if they’ve received at least one qualifying direct deposit of $1 or more.

How do you use Chime’s mobile check deposit?

To use Chime mobile check deposit, launch the Chime app and tap “Move Money,” then “Mobile check deposit.” You’ll be asked to enter the check type and amount. You’ll then be prompted to take a photo of both sides of the check to upload it. Just remember to endorse the check before snapping the picture!

Is Chime mobile check deposit instant?

The typical Chime mobile check deposit time ranges from 3 to 5 business days, though you could see the check clear even faster. In general, mobile check deposit is not instant, no matter the bank; larger checks generally take longer to clear.

Is there a Chime mobile check deposit limit?

With Chime, you can deposit up to $2,000 per check up to 10 times a month. Chime has a total check deposit limit of $10,000 per month.

Can I activate my debit card in the Chime mobile app?

Yes. Every Chime Checking Account comes with a debit card. Launching the mobile app is the easiest way to activate your Chime card. When you log in, you’ll see a card widget at the top of the app that says “Card Status.” Open the widget and tap the big green “Activate Card” button to get started.

Can I use the Chime mobile banking app internationally?

Yes, Chime’s mobile banking app is available in most countries where Visa is accepted. To enable international transactions, log into the Chime app and go to your account settings. From there, select your card and turn international transactions on.

How can I get customer support if I have issues with the app?
